Mexican real estate?

I am interested in buying some real estate in Mexico and I have a couple questions:

1. Does anyone think that Hurricane Dean will affect real estate values on the Mayan Riviera?

2. Is the 99 year lease issued to foreigners who want land usage in Mexico fairly secure or are there issues about eminent domain, land use, etc.

Any other issues you think I should be aware of or advice you have for a first time buyer looking in Mexico would be appreicaited.

    Hurricane dean will have little to no effect.

    There are serious land rights issues you need to be aware about, and you need an expert in Mexican RE to help you.
